Conference Networking Dinner
The SAPPA Conference networking dinner on Thursday 15 June is included in your registration fee and is a great tradition for conference delegates. Enjoy a night of fine dining, fine wine and a chance to catch up with your colleagues over dinner.
Following dinner, entertainment will be provided by the Flaming Sambucas or you may want to join your colleagues for a quiet drink downstairs.
Sponsor Passport
Our sponsors are great supporters of SAPPA and without them we could not provide such a great range of products and services to members. Please show your appreciation by visiting their displays which will be located in the Exhibition area, alongside the plenary room. The popular ‘Sponsor Passport’ will again be handed out to each delegate upon arrival and once validated by each sponsor, you have the chance of winning one of the amazing prizes on offer. Completed Sponsor Passports should be placed into the Sponsor Passport Box (located at the SAPPA Desk) by 12pm on Friday 16 June. In order to claim your prize, you must be present in the main conference room for the announcements on Friday afternoon (or appoint a proxy who can collect the prize on your behalf). If neither of you are present, there will be a re-draw.
Car Parking
Parking is available in several surrounding undercover parking stations.
Travel Claims
SAPPA members from country regions are entitled to reimbursement for personal travel expenses but not if your school has paid. If you are from a country region and the round trip in your car is > 250 km, you will be reimbursed at the rate of 60c per km. Claims will be processed after the conference and upon receipt of a claim form with accompanying receipts attached. Claim forms will be available at the conference from the SAPPA Desk or by contacting Christine at cperri@sappa.com.au. Claims must be received by Monday 26 June 2023.
General
Accommodation costs, landline calls from your room, beverages outside conference drinks packages and all other personal incidentals are your responsibility and will be at your own expense.
Wi-Fi will be available throughout the hotel at no additional cost, but if you experience any problems, please see Bernice or Christine.
Please ensure that all mobile phones are turned off or set to Silent during conference proceedings.
For those who have booked accommodation, please note that check out time is 11am each day so you will need to allow some extra time on Friday morning to vacate your room and check out at Reception on the ground floor.
We hope you have an enjoyable time at the 2023 SAPPA Conference and look forward to seeing you there.
